What Are Mainpro+ Credits?

Mainpro+® (Maintenance of Proficiency) is the College of Family Physicians of Canada’s program for tracking and recognizing continuing medical education. Virtual Hallway activities are free and designed to help you earn certified Mainpro+ credits quickly.

Canadian Pharmacists

In provinces such as Manitoba, Nova Scotia and PEI, Mainpro+ credits are directly accepted CE. In other provinces pharmacists may include Virtual Hallway activities as non-accredited learning (confirm with your college).

How do I register for the live webinars?
Create an account at VH or log into your existing account. From the left menu select "Education" then "CME Lectures". Find the talk you'd like to attend. Tap into it then tap the "Register" button.
Are the talks available for on demand viewing?
Yes! All past webinars are available for on demand viewing on VH. Log into your account, select "Education" then "CME Lectures". Find the talk you’d like to watch, tap into it, and view the recording.
Can I get credits for watching on demand webinars?
Yes! You can earn credits for up to one year from the date of the original live session.
How do I claim my credits?
Log into VH, select "Education" then "CME Lectures". Find the talk you'd like to claim credit for and tap into it. Under the video tap the "Claim CME Credit" button, then complete the short survey to claim your credit. Each CME lecture earns you 1.0 Mainpro+ credit.
Do I have to send my credits to the college?
No. For Canadian Family Physicians, in the first week of each new month, we send your credits to the CFPC on your behalf.
Where can I see the credits I've earned so far?
Log into VH then from the left menu select "Education" then "CME Lectures".

On a computer: you'll see "My Credits" near the top of the page.
On mobile: navigate to the "CME Lectures" the same as the computer, here you'll see the ☰ menu button near the top of the page. Tap this, then select "My Credits".
How do credits work with POEMs?
For each POEM email you read, click the "Claim your credit". This will open the POEM on our website. In the top right corner, click "Claim Credit", then complete the short survey. Each POEM is worth 0.1 Mainpro+ credits. Every time you complete 10 POEMs, we bundle them into 1.0 credit and send it to the college in the next batch.
