Yes! There is no charge for NPs to use Virtual Hallway. To be able to offer this service, the specialist agrees to share a small administrative fee from the consult's billing remuneration.

Virtual Hallway consults are for clinicians — family physicians, nurse practitioners, and specialists. This is not a patient-facing service. If you are a clinician in Nova Scotia, Ontario, PEI, Newfoundland & Labrador, Alberta, or Saskatchewan you may use Virtual Hallway.

Most consults are booked within days, not months. Availability depends on the specialist, but our network is built for timely access.

Any case. You don't need a complex situation to reach out — quick questions and gut-checks are welcome. If a consult would help you move forward, book one.

Virtual Hallway handles all billing for you and the specialist. We have provincial Group Practice Agreements so, when you sign our billing agreement form, we can bill on your behalf using the relevant provincial billing code. Remuneration is sent via direct deposit at the start of every month.

Yes. After every consult, you'll receive a detailed note summarizing the conversation and recommendations. The specialist submits a 1-page consult report. You can access this as a downloadable, encrypted PDF, or elect to have reports automatically faxed for easy EMR entry.
